Visit our online exhibition to find out more about architect John Allan (1847-1922). He designed over 30 buildings in Stirling between 1871 and 1913 many of which survive today. An author, historian and architect, he leaves a legacy of fascinating buildings which we can all enjoy today.
John Allan died on 21 February 1922 and to mark 100 years since he died, we have created this exhibition featuring materials from a previous exhibition held at the Stirling Smith. This included specially commissioned photography by Jo Cound and historic images of Stirling from the Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum together with drawings held in the Stirling Council Archives.
