The Trust is run by a manager and has a staff compliment of three full-time staff working on the Traditional Buildings Health Check pilot project.
Dr Lindsay Lennie (Manager)
Lindsay is a Chartered Surveyor who has worked with the Trust since 2011. She has an undergraduate degree in Geography and worked for many years as a Chartered Surveyor in the public sector. In 2001, Lindsay gained the RICS Postgraduate Diploma in Building Conservation and in 2006 was awarded a PhD in Building Conservation for her thesis, “The Conservation of Historic Shopfronts in Perth and Perthshire”. Her consultancy business, Historic Shop Conservation, was established in 2009.
Lindsay was appointed as Trust Manager in January 2020 , initially covering for Sonya Linskaill who was taking a career break.
Julie Lonsdale (Office Manager)
Julie is a graduate in business studies with a wealth of experience in providing office management and support. Julie joined the Trust in 2017.
Dr Rachael Purse (Projects Officer)
Rachael previously worked at Glasgow City Heritage Trust, after which she won a Historic Environment Scotland and Glasgow School of Art PhD Scholarship to study and work on the Mackintosh Building Restoration Project from 2016-2020. Rachael looks after SCHT’s Traditional Building Repair Grants programme, as well as the outreach programme.
