Supporting You to Care for Your Building

Owning an older property can be rewarding but maintaining it isn’t always simple. Repairs and upkeep can feel overwhelming, that’s why the Traditional Buildings Health Check (TBHC) was set-up, a not-for-profit scheme designed to make caring for your building easier.

What we offer

Traditional Buildings Health Check provides expert advice to help you:

  • Understand your building’s current condition
  • Diagnose issues before they become costly problems
  • Plan the next steps for maintenance
  • Access guidance on grant funding
  • Explore Retrofit options for energy efficiency

Becoming a member of the TBHC will give you year-round access to our services and support.

Who can join?

Owners of any property type are eligible as long as their building is of traditional construction – built before 1919, has solid masonry walls and uses traditional materials like stone and slate.

It may be your home, business or a public or community building. It doesn’t need to be in a Conservation Area or Listed, but it must be in the Stirling City boundary, in Bridge of Allan, Dunblane or Blairlogie.

New members can get £25 off their first inspection by signing up for our Membership Package. This special membership package covers one year’s membership to the scheme and the first subsidised property inspection and condition report.
