Traditional Buildings Health Check

The Traditional Buildings Health Check is a new and proactive maintenance scheme to assist owners in Stirling to maintain their traditional buildings. It is being run as a pilot by Stirling City Heritage Trust with support from Historic Environment Scotland and CITB.

Planning and carrying out regular maintenance of your traditional building is crucial to ensure its future. The majority of building disrepair commonly encountered can be traced back to a lack of maintenance. Just as you would with your car, a property needs regular checks and repairs to maintain its condition. Avoiding maintenance will lead to a need for repair that could escalate over time.

TBHC-logoTo become a member, your building must be located within the Stirling City Boundary, have been built before or around 1919 and be of traditional construction. Membership offers access to the maintenance and repair advice from our Traditional Buildings Team and to our impartial building inspection service.

If you would like information about the Traditional Buildings Health Check please phone the TBHC team on 01786 498463 or visit the website at traditionalbuildingshealthcheck.org for more information.

If you are already a member of the TBHC and need to repair your property you may be eligible for the Trust’s Traditional Buildings Repair Grant.
