Repair work is progressing well on 14-18 King Street as part of an 18-week programme. The front chimneys have been rebuilt and the replacement of the large lead flat roof is well underway. Lead sheet has been used for centuries to roof and protect buildings from water ingress and this traditional material is still worked by skilled crafts people today.
